Anne Lyman

Artistic Director

Dr. Anne E. Lyman is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most prominent and versatile choral conductors. She serves as Director of Vocal Activities and Chair of Music at Tacoma Community College where she advises the two-year Associate of Music Major degree program. Lyman has achieved broad recognition for her early music research and performance. She is a sought-after guest conductor for festival and honor choirs, and her choirs have appeared at regional conventions of the American Choral Directors Association (2012 and 2014.) In 2007 she was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship, completing a nine-month residency at the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium. Her work has been supported by the Society of Seventeenth Century Music, the Belgian American Education Foundation, the Stanley Foundation, and the Tacoma Arts Commission. Her research on Peter Philips and John Corigliano has been published by the Alamire Foundation, the American Choral Review, and Routledge.

Anne Lyman lives in Tacoma, Washington and loves hiking, cooking, and gardening with her husband Zach, son, Milo and daughter, Eleanor.

Betty Zaloudek-Moore graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in Secondary music Education. She taught in the public school system 10 years as a choral director, drama coach, and math instructor. Betty’s musical experiences include being choir director at Asbury Methodist, Little Church on the Prairie, Fircrest United Methodist, St. Nicolas Catholic Church, and most recently, First Lutheran in Tacoma. She has also sung and been an assistant conductor in community choirs including Gloriana Chamber Singers, Tacoma Master Chorale, and the past 16 years with Cora Voce.

Danete is a highly regarded collaborative pianist and graduate from Western Washington University with degree in Piano Performance. She is currently the choral pianist and director at Bryn Mawr United Methodist Church, accompanist for the Lucinda Maxey Vocal studio, and choral accompanist for the Boeing Employees Choir as well as Cora Voce. Her wide ranging experience includes Northwest Music Festivals, Washington State Music Teachers Association Conferences, Music Educators National Conferences, and Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside.

Meet Our Current Members

Amy Cole
Amy joined Cora Voce in 2024. A frequent soprano soloist with the Vashon Island Chorale and sometimes the Vashon-Maury Chamber Orchestra, she is fortunate to appear in many Vashon Opera productions, and managed to sneak into the ensemble of the Vashon Repertory Theater's Sweeney Todd. She has also performed with the Bremerton Symphony Chorale, OS/SCS (now Harmonia), and the Peninsula Women’s Chorus, among others. She plays piano and guitar, sometimes turning up at the Strawberry Festival and other local venues to perform a solo set of folk/indie songs. Cora Voce's tight harmonies, repertoire, and small group dynamic fill her up with joy.
Lindsay Delmarter
Lindsay joined Cora Voce in 2008. Lindsay is a singer, vocal coach, and music director who has earned her BA in Music (vocal performance) from Whitworth College. Lindsay has been singing with Cora Voce since 2008 and enjoys making music with this group. She also serves on the board for Cora Voce as the secretary. She teaches voice and beginning flute with the Dueling Divas Music Studio which she co-founded with her best friend Daisy. Lindsay enjoys performing and music directing throughout the Puget Sound area and can be seen working regularly with Renton Civic Theatre, Auburn Community Players, Tacoma Little Theatre, and Manestage Theatre. Lindsay is also the Music Director for Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw WA.
Linda Dugger
Linda has been singing and playing instruments since she was four. She is an accomplished pianist, organist, ad accompanist. Linda has directed church and community choirs, led productions with multiple music groups, and enjoys singing in the local music community. After a distinguished 30 year career in education , she joined Cora Voce in 2014. The condensed rehearsal schedule allows her to be able to travel and spend time with family including four grandchildren. She also enjoys gardening. Linda is a member of the Cora Voce board and is also the financial manager for the choir. The soaring music and amazing people in Cora Voce are a joy!​
Lynn Forrey
Lynn has sung with Cora Voce since 2011-2012, and is happy be to back after some time away! Earning a BMus degree in Organ Performance from PLU, she also sang with the University Chorale. She has spent the last 40 or more years as a church musician, accompanist, piano teacher, and an alto in various choirs, including the Idaho-Washington Concert Chorale, Tapestry Women's Choir, and many church choirs. Lynn enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, sewing, and gardening. She is also known for her paintings on silk scarves, wall art, and banners.
Angie Franklin
Angie works as a district administrator in the Teaching and Learning Department for University Place School District. She earned her BA from Washington State University, her Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound, her Doctorate in Education from Seattle Pacific University, and most recently her superintendent certificate from Washington State University. Angie loves singing and has been singing in choirs for as long as she can remember. She's currently an active member of the choir at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Tacoma and is excited to join the Cora Voce team!
Ivan Gorne
Ivan sang with the Pacific Lutheran University Choir of the West and toured the western U.S. as a member of the Ambassador Quartet. He has been a member of Cora Voce since the groups' inception as the NW Lutheran Choir. His choral and musical theatre experience began in junior high school as a member of the Little Singers and voice student of its founder, Virginia Elliott, at Linfield College. He acted and sang in H.M.S. Pinafore, the Mikado and as Barnaby in Babes in Toyland. He and three high school friends formed a barbershop quartet, The Treble Makers, placing in the top eight at the All Northwest Barbershop Quartet contest when he was a junior in high school. Now retired, Ivan enjoyed a career as a teacher and college/university administrator.
Marsha Gorne
Marsha graduated from PLU in 1971 with a BA Education. She sang in Choir of the West, Madrigals, Mixed Quartet, Opera Workshop, musicals. She was a paid soloist at Little Church on the Prairie, Lakewood, WA. She has sung with various choral groups in Everett, WA, Seattle Bach Choir.
Beverly Hoback
Beverly is a retired elementary music teacher and graduate of both Pacific Lutheran University and Cornish College of the Arts, where she received undergraduate degrees in education and music composition as well as doing graduate work in both areas. In addition to performing choral music, Beverly performs as a folk musician, playing and teaching mountain dulcimer and guitar. She has performed at the Kindred Gathering dulcimer festival every year for over two decades, and has taught and performed at the Bellingham Folk Festival since 2023, both as a soloist and as a duo with a friend she's sung with since elementary school. Hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and traveling to nature spots around the U.S. with family and friends are other passions. Spending time with her friends and family, including two young grandsons, is Beverly's greatest joy in life.​
Pat Howland

Patty is a charter member of Cora Voce and is currently serving as the Board President. Patty graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1979 with a BA in Secondary Choral Education. While at PLU, she sang in the University Chorale and was Alto section leader for Choir of the West. After graduating, instead of teaching she began a career in music retail with Ted Brown Music and later as Operations Manager, Branch Manager, and eventually Regional Vice President with J.W. Pepper until she resigned in 2008.

She has sung with the Tacoma Symphony Chorale and went on two tours with the group to Italy and Eastern Europe. Patty has also directed church choirs, played piano and sung with the worship teams at CenterPoint Christian Fellowship in Tacoma, Crossroads Neighborhood Church in Bremerton, and currently at Longview Community Church where she is employed as the church's Executive Director.​

Lindsay Lawrence
Lindsay is a 3rd-5th grade elementary teacher at Kitsap Adventist Christian School with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU. She also holds a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Vocal performance from Walla Walla University. She is active in her school and church’s chapel and music programs, and loves to sing. Lindsay has been singing with Cora Voce since 2019 and loves to collaborate and fellowship with this group!

Daisy Nau
Daisy is a singer, character actress, vocal coach, and pianist who has earned her BA in Music (vocal performance) from Whitworth College. Carol Petersen
Carol played piano, violin, and guitar through high school. She earned her BA in Biology at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN, where she sang in two of the college choirs, took piano lessons, and piano pedagogy. Carol also completed studies for a Masters of Public Health at UCLA. During numerous moves, Carol worked in various research and diagnostic labs. In the music world, she sang in various church choirs, directed an adult and a teen choir, and played in church bell choirs. Carol thoroughly enjoyed singing in choirs at St Olaf College, California Bach Society, WA/ID Symphony Chorale, Tapestry (women's chamber ensemble) in the Palouse, and the Anchorage Concert Chorale. Carol began singing with Cora Voce in 2014, which brings her much joy.
Glenn Petersen
For many years I sang tenor, but now, since I've "matured", I sing baritone/bass. My musical "training" comes from years of singing church liturgy and hymnody, singing with church choirs, and also with the California Bach Society, the Idaho-Washington Concert Chorale and Chamber Choir, the Alaska Chamber Singers, and since 2014 with Cora Voce. I play guitar and occasionally write a song.​
Ruth Pitingoro
Ruth attended Pacific Lutheran University and continues her lifelong singing experience since then with various local groups in addition to her Puyallup church choir. She values her time and experience with Cora Voce both for the music and the friendships acquired. Ruth is a retired junior high teacher and now fills her life with traveling, enjoying friends, giving back to her community, and loving her wonderful family completed with four fabulous grandchildren!​
Jon Rodin
Jon received his BS in Engineering Physics at Pacific Lutheran University while singing in the University Chorale, Choir of the West, and then Choral Union. Jon has been singing with Cora Voce since 2008. Jon has been singing since his mom got him into The Northwest Boys Choir back in 1972 and continues to sing in church choir, vocal ensembles, and is a handbell ringer. Jon is employed at Patriot Fire Protection in Fife, WA.
Erwin Rosin
​Erwin is a singer and has been a member of Cora Voce since the beginning. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1983.Erwin is also an actor at Tacoma Little Theater, Mountain Players, Village Theatre; Founding member of the Messiah Players community theatre group at Messiah Lutheran Church.
Margie Skreen-Dickerson
Margie is a piano teacher and collaborative pianist in Tacoma Washington. She has a BM from University Puget Sound and an MM from the university of Washington.
Laurie Spitzer

Laurie has retired from teaching elementary school music after 50 years of teaching. During her career, she taught not only children but continuing education classes for teachers through SPU. She has her masters in education as well as ORFF Shulewerk levels. She continues to teach piano lessons and volunteers for a local school as an accompanist for elementary choir rehearsals and concerts. In her spare time, Laurie creates fine silver jewelry and watercolors.​

Randy Spitzer

​​A co-founder of the choir in 2003, Randy Spitzer was the Artistic Director of Cora Voce from 2006-2024. He now sings bass-baritone with the choir and serves as the Development Director on the board.

He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University ’74, BA Education, vocal and instrumental music, graduated cum laude. He taught choir in public school, and has been a church musician his entire life.
He has sung as a bass-baritone soloist with many choirs, opera companies, early music ensembles, orchestras and musical theater companies, as well as Cora Voce. Randy has written, co-written, arranged or edited more than 60 works for choir, ensembles and soloists in a variety of styles, both sacred and secular.

Heather Urschel

Heather has been singing forever. She received her BFA in vocal performance with dual specializations (opera and early music) at Western WU, and these remain her areas of passion, along with world folk music, old timey, and dark wave. She sang for more than a decade with the Puget Sound Revels and their sea shanty off-shoot, the Dead Reckoning Singers. She’s also been involved with the South Sound Choir Academy and Tacoma Singing Society. On the side she plays the mandolin, keyboard, and other instruments in every kind of jam session imaginable.

Jennifer Weddermann

Jennifer has been singing in choirs since she was a little girl, but has had a long absence from singing in a choir and is excited to join Cora Voce for the first time!
